Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Veterans Health Administration Leadership Transformation Act''. SEC. 2. OFFICE OF THE UNDER SECRETARY FOR HEALTH OF THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS. (a) Term of Under Secretary.--Section 305(a)(1) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new sentence: ``An individual appointed to serve as the Under Secretary of Health shall be appointed for a term of five years.''. (b) Elimination of Certain Requirements for Assistant Under Secretaries.--Section 7306 of such title is amended-- (1) by striking subsection (b); (2) by redesignating subsections (c) through (g) as subsections (b) through (f), respectively; and (3) in subsection (c), as so redesignated, by striking ``subsection (e)'' and inserting ``subsection (d)''.
