R. 3259 To make nationals of Ukraine who are present in the United States eligible for REAL ID benefits, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 11, 2023 Mr. Quigley (for himself, Mr. Fitzpatrick, Ms. Kaptur, and Mr. Bucshon) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To make nationals of Ukraine who are present in the United States eligible for REAL ID benefits, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``REAL ID Eligibility for Ukraine Act'' or the ``RIDE for Ukraine Act''. SEC. 2. REAL ID BENEFITS. Section 401(b) of the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022 (8 U.S.C. 1101 note(b)) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (1), by striking ``and'' at the end; (2) in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting ``; and''; and (3) by adding at the end the following: ``(3) a driver's license or identification card under section 202 of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (division B of Public Law 109-13; U.S.C. 30301 note), notwithstanding subsection (c)(2)(B) of such Act.''. <all>
