referred to the Committee on Oversight and Accountability

A BILL

To amend the United States Semiquincentennial Commission Act of 2016 to 
modify the requirements for the time capsule required by such Act, and 
for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. TIME CAPSULE REQUIREMENTS UNDER UNITED STATES 
SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL COMMISSION ACT OF 2016.

Section 7(f)(1) of the United States Semiquincentennial Commission 
Act of 2016 (Public Law 114-196) is amended--
(1) by striking subparagraph (A) and inserting the 
following:
``(A) to be installed in Independence National 
Historical Park on July 4, 2026; and''; and
(2) in subparagraph (B), by striking ``unearthed'' and 
inserting ``opened''.
