Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Weatherization Enhancement and Readiness Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. WEATHERIZATION. (a) Average Cost Per Dwelling Unit.--Section 415(c)(1) of the Energy Conservation and Production Act (42 U.S.C. 6865(c)(1)) is amended by striking ``$6,500'' and inserting ``$12,000''. (b) Reauthorization of Weatherization Assistance Program.--Section 422 of the Energy Conservation and Production Act (42 U.S.C. 6872) is amended by striking paragraphs (1) and (2) and inserting the following: ``(1) $300,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2028; ``(2) $325,000,000 for fiscal year 2029; and ``(3) $350,000,000 for fiscal year 2030.''. SEC. 3. READINESS REPORT. Section 414D(i) of the Energy Conservation and Production Act (42 U.S.C. 6864d(i)) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (1), by striking ``; and'' and inserting a semicolon; (2) in paragraph (2), by striking ``achieved.'' and inserting ``achieved; and''; and (3) by adding at the end the following: ``(3) the impacts of enhancement and innovation readiness efforts on eligibility for the weatherization program conducted under this part.''.
