R. 5171 To require the Secretary of the Interior to reissue a final rule relating to gray wolves. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 8, 2025 Mr. Bentz (for himself and Mr. Newhouse) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To require the Secretary of the Interior to reissue a final rule relating to gray wolves. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Pacific Northwest Gray Wolves Relief Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. REISSUANCE OF FINAL RULE RELATING TO GRAY WOLVES. (a) In General.--Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary of the Interior shall reissue the final rule titled ``Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Removing the Gray Wolf (Canis lupus) From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife'' (85 Fed. Reg. 69778; November 3, 2020). (b) Application.--The final rule reissued under subsection (a) shall apply only with respect to gray wolf populations in the States of Oregon and Washington. <all>
