Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Military Housing Performance Insight Act''. SEC. 2. MODIFICATION OF SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT ON PRIVATIZED MILITARY HOUSING. (a) In General.--Subsection (c) of section 2884 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: ``(15) An overview of the housing data being used by the Department and the housing data being sought from management companies. ``(16) An assessment of how the Secretary of each military department is using such housing data to inform the on-base housing decisions for such military department. ``(17) An explanation of the limitations of any customer satisfaction data collected (including with respect to the availability of survey data), the process for determining resident satisfaction, and reasons for missing data. ``(18) To the maximum extent practicable, a breakdown of the information under this paragraph by installation and military housing project.''. (b) Public Reporting.--Such subsection is further amended-- (1) in paragraph (14), by redesignating subparagraphs (A) through (D) as clauses (i) through (iv), respectively; (2) by redesignating paragraphs (1) through (18) as subparagraphs (A) through (R), respectively; (3) in subparagraph (E), as redesignated by paragraph (2), by striking ``paragraphs (1) through (4)'' and inserting ``subparagraphs (A) through (D)''; (4) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), as so redesignated, by striking ``The Secretary'' and inserting ``(1) The Secretary''; and (5) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: ``(2) Not later than 30 days after submitting a report under paragraph (1), the Secretary of Defense shall publish the report on a publicly available website of the Department of Defense.''. (c) Technical Amendment.--The heading for such subsection is amended by striking ``Annual'' and inserting ``Semi-annual''. (d) Conforming Amendment.--Subsection (d)(1) of such section is amended by striking ``paragraphs (1) through (14) of subsection (c)'' and inserting ``subparagraphs (A) through (R) of subsection (c)(1)''. <all>
