R. 6881 To direct the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services to investigate certain payment increases under HHS programs. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES December 18, 2025 Mrs. Miller-Meeks introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committees on Education and Workforce, Ways and Means, and Natural Resources, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To direct the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services to investigate certain payment increases under HHS programs. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Welfare Abuse and Laundering Zillions Act'' or the ``WALZ Act''. SEC. 2. REQUIRING INVESTIGATIONS OF CERTAIN PAYMENT INCREASES UNDER HHS PROGRAMS. In the case that, with respect to any 6-month period, the total amount paid to providers of services and suppliers under a program administered by the Secretary of Health and Human Services increases by 10 percent or more as compared to the prior 6-month period, the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services shall open an investigation into such program. <all>
