Mr. Vasquez (for himself, Mr. Riley of New York, and Mr. Gray) 
introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on 
Agriculture

A BILL

To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to restore the exemption of 
veterans from a work requirement applicable for participation in the 
supplemental nutrition assistance program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ``Feed Our Veterans Act''.

SEC. 2. RESTORATION OF EXEMPTION OF VETERANS FROM A WORK REQUIREMENT.

Section 6(o)(3) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 
2015(o)(3)) is amended--
(1) in subparagraph (F) by striking ``or'' at the end,
(2) in subparagraph (G) by striking the period at the end 
and inserting ``; or'', and
(3) by adding at the end the following:
``(H) a veteran.''.
