Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Transit Workforce Development Act''. SEC. 2. USE OF GRANTS FOR BUSES AND BUS FACILITIES FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING. (a) In General.--Section 5314(c)(4)(A) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking ``sections 5307, 5337, and 5339'' and inserting ``sections 5307 and 5337, and not more than 10 percent of amounts made available to a recipient under section 5339,''. (b) Workforce Development Training.--Section 5339(d) of title 49, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``5 percent'' and inserting ``10 percent''; (2) by striking ``zero emissions vehicles (as defined in subsection (c)(1)) or related infrastructure'' and inserting ``buses and related equipment and to construct bus-related facilities''; (3) by striking ``under subsection (b) or (c)'' and inserting ``under subsections (a), (b), or (c)''; and (4) by striking ``under the recipient's plan to address the impact of the transition to zero emission vehicles on the applicant's current workforce under subsection (c)(3)(D)''. <all>
