Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Federal Diversity Jurisdiction Modernization Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENT TO AMOUNT IN CONTROVERSY REQUIREMENT. (a) Amendment to Title 28, United States Code.--Section 1332(a) of title 28, United States Code, is amended by striking ``$75,000'' and inserting ``$500,000''. (b) Applicability.--The amendment made by this section shall apply to any civil action commenced on or after the date of enactment of this Act. <all>
