Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Veterinary Education Equity Act''. SEC. 2. VETERINARY SERVICES GRANT PROGRAM. Section 1415B of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3151b) is amended-- (1) in subsection (a)(1)-- (A) in subparagraph (F), by striking ``or'' at the end; (B) in subparagraph (G), by striking the period at the end and inserting ``; or''; and (C) by adding at the end the following: ``(H) 1890 Institutions, as defined in section 2 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 (7 U.S.C. 7601).''; and (2) in subsection (c), by adding at the end the following: ``(5) Priorities.--In making grants under the program under subsection (b), the Secretary shall provide a higher priority to projects at 1890 Institutions.''. <all>
