Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Preserving Community Food Assistance Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENT. Section 202A(b)(4) of the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 (7 U.S.C. 7503(b)(4)) is amended by inserting ``(at the option of the State agency based on documented proof of residency such as a photo identification card, a piece of mail, residency documentation, or other similar document)'' after ``residing''. <all>
