Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Protect Every Preschooler Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF THE GUN FREE SCHOOL ZONES ACT. Section 921(a)(27) of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``means a school which'' and inserting the following: ``means-- ``(A) a school which''; (2) by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the following: ``(B) an early childhood education program (as defined in section 103 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1003)); and ``(C) a preschool (which has the meaning given the term `eligible preschool program' in section 428K(g) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1078- 11(g))).''. <all>
