In plain terms

The Stephen Wira ABLE Act amends the existing ABLE Act to change the amount of money that can be held in ABLE accounts without affecting eligibility for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Specifically, it raises the limit from $100,000 to $150,000 for the year 2026. For subsequent years, the limit will increase based on inflation. The bill also requires the Social Security Commissioner to publish the updated limits in the Federal Register each year.
