Mr. Thompson of California submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture

RESOLUTION
Supporting the contributions and goals of Lavender Growers Month.
Whereas lavender is cultivated across the United States as a specialty crop with applications in agriculture, wellness, culinary arts, and manufacturing; Whereas lavender farms contribute to rural economies through agritourism, value- added products, and local employment; Whereas many lavender farms are small, family-owned, and women-led enterprises that reflect the diversity and resilience of American agriculture; Whereas the months of June and July represents peak bloom for lavender in many regions of the United States, making it a vital time for harvest and public engagement; and Whereas recognizing lavender growers supports agricultural innovation, sustainability; and domestic production: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
(1) recognizes Lavender Growers Month; and
(2) encourages Americans to learn about, visit, and support lavender farms and businesses across the United States. <all>
