RES. 751 Expressing support for the recognition of September 7, 2025, as ``Liturgical Dance Day'' and the International Dance Commission, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 19, 2025 Mr. Johnson of Georgia submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform _______________________________________________________________________ RESOLUTION Expressing support for the recognition of September 7, 2025, as ``Liturgical Dance Day'' and the International Dance Commission, and for other purposes. Whereas, on September 7, 2025, the International Dance Commission will celebrate ``Liturgical Dance Day'' as dancers from around the world will take part in a day of fasting, prayer, and worship; Whereas, every Sunday morning, liturgical dance is expressed in thousands of ministries across the Nation, and liturgical dance ministers provide valuable outreach programs serving inner-city youth and instilling them with discipline, the desire to pursue excellence, and a love of dance; Whereas the International Dance Commission's purpose is to serve as a multicultural umbrella organization and resource pool for dance, worship arts ministries, and dance companies throughout the world; and Whereas the members of the International Dance Commission dedicate themselves to service in their communities, sharing their gifts through the creative arts: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives recognizes ``Liturgical Dance Day'' and the International Dance Commission and its contributions to the creative arts and worship in communities across the State of Georgia. <all>
