Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Remote Waste Storage Act''. SEC. 2. ONSITE STORAGE IN REMOTE AREAS. Section 3001(d)(6) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act (42 U.S.C. 6921(d)(6)) is amended, in the second sentence, by inserting ``, or for not more than 2 years if such generator lacks year-round surface transportation access to a treatment, storage, or disposal facility and the accumulation of the hazardous waste is conducted in compliance with all applicable laws (including regulations)'' before the period at the end. <all>
