Buy American: he signed EO 14005 five days into office (Jan 25, 2021), stood up the Made in America Office at OMB, and directed rules raising the federal-procurement domestic-content threshold from 55% to 60% (2022), 65% (2024), 75% (2029) — PolitiFact rated the corresponding 'Tighten Made in America rules' promise 'Promise Kept.' R&D: he championed and signed the CHIPS and Science Act (Aug 9, 2022), which authorized roughly $280B including ~$174B for science/research.
