No $100 billion Affordable Housing Fund was established during Biden's term (January 2021 - January 2025). Biden did formally push major affordable-housing construction funding toward this goal - $213 billion in the March 2021 American Jobs Plan and a $150 billion housing component in the October 2021 Build Back Better framework aimed at building, preserving, and improving more than 1 million homes - but the effort collapsed when Senator Manchin's December 19, 2021 opposition killed Build Back Better in the evenly divided Senate, and no comparable fund was enacted thereafter.
