As president, Biden never sent Congress his own bill lowering the lobbyist-registration threshold or requiring elected officials to disclose lobbyist contacts monthly, and no such requirements were enacted during his term (Jan 2021 - Jan 2025). He did formally endorse the For the People Act (H.R. 1), which passed the House on March 3, 2021 and included a related expansion of who must register under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (Sec. 7201), but the Senate blocked the companion measure 50-50 on a cloture vote on June 22, 2021. The monthly-disclosure requirement for elected officials was never formally proposed, so the closest action was support for partially matching legislation that failed.
