After a Section 301 investigation found China's technology-transfer and intellectual-property practices unreasonable and discriminatory, the administration imposed additional 25 percent Section 301 tariffs on Chinese goods beginning July 6, 2018, ultimately covering several hundred billion dollars of imports.
