No 'End Illegal Immigration Act' was ever enacted, and Congress did not fully fund wall construction during the 2017-2021 term. The funding element was fulfilled late: the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed July 4, 2025, appropriated $46.5 billion to complete border wall construction, and CBP awarded roughly $4.5 billion in wall contracts in September 2025. The promised mandatory-minimum prison sentences for illegal reentry were never enacted: the House passed Kate's Law (H.R. 3004) raising reentry penalties in June 2017, but it received no Senate vote, and no reentry mandatory-minimum statute has become law through July 2, 2026. The wall-funding half was kept (belatedly); the sentencing half was not.
