Trump appointed Justices Gorsuch (2017), Kavanaugh (2018), and Barrett (2020). In New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. v. Bruen, decided June 23, 2022, all three joined the 6-3 majority holding that the Constitution protects a right to carry a handgun in public for self-defense, the Court's broadest Second Amendment ruling since 2008. Judged by his appointees' rulings, the promised deliverable, justices who would protect the Second Amendment, was delivered.
