President Trump formally sent Congress an infrastructure plan on February 12, 2018, proposing $200 billion in federal funds to spur at least $1.5 trillion in investment in roads, bridges and other public works, and repeatedly staged 'Infrastructure Week' pushes. Congress never enacted the plan, and no comprehensive rebuilding program became law during his 2017-2021 term. The $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law was signed by his successor on November 15, 2021, over Trump's opposition. A genuine formal proposal that did not land rates ATTEMPTED.
