Trump did not sign a most-favored-nation drug pricing order on Day One (Jan. 20, 2025); he signed Executive Order 14297, 'Delivering Most-Favored-Nation Prescription Drug Pricing to American Patients,' on May 12, 2025. Implementation has come through voluntary manufacturer agreements — Pfizer (Sept. 30, 2025), AstraZeneca (Oct. 10, 2025) and others — providing MFN prices to state Medicaid programs and discounted direct-to-consumer sales via TrumpRx.gov, which launched in February 2026. As of July 2, 2026, however, there is no binding government-wide requirement that the U.S. pay only the lowest price drugmakers offer foreign nations, so the promise is kept in part: the EO exists (months late, not Day One) and MFN pricing applies to some drugs and channels, not all.
