Parts of this multi-part platform plank have seen concrete action: a February 25, 2025 executive order directed agencies to enforce hospital and insurer price transparency using actual prices, and most-favored-nation agreements with Pfizer, AstraZeneca and other manufacturers — plus the TrumpRx.gov direct-to-consumer site launched in February 2026 — expanded lower-cost prescription options, including MFN pricing for state Medicaid programs. Other elements remain unrealized or unproven as of July 2, 2026: there is no demonstrated broad reduction in what seniors pay, and 'choice and competition' expansion has been incremental. On balance the administration has kept some of the plank but not all of it.
