Rated on the ongoing second term through July 2, 2026. No new federal firearms restrictions have been imposed; instead, Executive Order 14206 (February 7, 2025) directed a government-wide review of gun regulations for Second Amendment infringements, and DOJ/ATF followed by repealing the 'zero tolerance' gun-dealer inspection policy, settling the Rare Breed Triggers litigation on May 16, 2025 to end enforcement against forced-reset triggers, and abandoning the pistol-brace rule. To date the pledge has been kept in full, though the term is not yet complete.
