“All of the trillions of dollars that are sitting there not yet spent, we will redirect that money for important projects like roads, bridges, dams, and we will not allow it to be spent on meaningless Green New Scam ideas.”

Assessments
evidence-backed verdictsThese are sourced verdicts from fact-checkers or community evidence reviews — not opinions.
Executive Order 14154 (Jan. 20, 2025) immediately paused disbursement of Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funds under a section titled 'Terminating the Green New Deal,' and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (signed July 4, 2025) ended wind and solar tax incentives and rescinded unobligated IRA balances, substantially delivering the pledge to stop what the promise calls 'Green New Scam' spending. However, no measure redirecting those funds to roads, bridges, or dams was enacted, and in June 2025 a federal court ordered some frozen EV-charging funds released to states. The blocking half was largely kept; the redirection half was not.
