Booker was an original lead co-introducer and cosponsor of the A. Donald McEachin Environmental Justice For All Act (S.919, introduced Mar 22, 2023; Sen. Duckworth sponsor of record), which would expand Title VI of the Civil Rights Act to bar disparate-impact pollution and codify environmental-justice protections. The bill was referred to committee and did not advance to a vote. This is a genuine sponsored effort that did not land.
