AttemptedFact-checker reviewConfidence: 70%

Warren has continued to sponsor anti-corruption/government-ethics legislation during her current (third) term but it has not become law in a Republican-controlled Senate. In the 119th Congress she and Sen. Rick Scott introduced a bipartisan bill (the BLAST Act, May 14 2026) imposing a lifetime lobbying ban on former members of Congress - a core plank of her anti-corruption agenda - and she cosponsored the bipartisan ETHICS Act (S.1171, 118th Congress) to ban congressional stock trading, which the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee reported out in July 2024 (the first time a Senate committee advanced such a ban) but which never received a floor vote. These are genuine, formally sponsored/cosponsored legislative attempts that did not land, which is exactly ATTEMPTED (+0.25). Confidence 0.7 reflects a solid current-term PRIMARY .gov source directly evidencing a lead-sponsored effort, corroborated by cosponsorship on the ETHICS Act, on an ASPIRATIONAL-scope pledge.
