Hawley reintroduced the PELOSI Act (April 28, 2025) to bar members of Congress and their spouses from trading or holding individual stocks. On July 30, 2025, he secured its advancement out of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. As lead sponsor he personally drove the measure through committee, but it had not passed the full Senate or become law as of 2026-07-16.
