Cruz authored and championed the No Tax on Tips Act (S.129, 119th Congress), which the Senate passed unanimously 100-0 on May 20, 2025, and whose substance was enacted into law in the reconciliation 'One Big Beautiful Bill' (P.L. 119-21) signed July 4, 2025, creating a deduction of up to $25,000 for tipped income for tax years 2025-2028. As the sponsor who drove the measure to enactment, the promise was fully delivered.
