AttemptedFact-checker reviewConfidence: 85%

Verified all three cited sources. GovInfo S.3666 (118th) confirms Mike Braun sponsored the AFIDA Improvements Act of 2024 with Tammy Baldwin as a cosponsor (not lead), latest action read twice and referred to the Agriculture Committee Jan 25, 2024 (quote verbatim); it never advanced and died at the end of the 118th Congress. Baldwin's Senate press release confirms the bill was led by Sens. Braun and Tester with Baldwin as a co-sponsor, ruling out CHAMPIONED. The congress.gov S.1969 URL returned HTTP 403, but its content was confirmed via GovInfo BILLS-119s1969is and WebSearch: AFIDA Improvements Act of 2025, sponsored by Ricketts, Baldwin NOT a cosponsor, referred to committee June 5, 2025, still unpassed. ATTEMPTED is accurate: genuine cosponsorship plus advocacy is an attempt, the bill failed within normal process, nothing was enacted (rules out FULL/PARTIAL), no leadership (rules out CHAMPIONED), and she did act (rules out IGNORED).
