No opportunityFact-checker reviewConfidence: 87%

Independently re-verified all three cited sources by direct fetch; all are real, live, and accurately quoted. (1) The promise is explicitly conditioned on holding the office of governor ('As governor, Blackburn commits to...'). Blackburn is not governor of Tennessee. Wikipedia's 2026 Tennessee gubernatorial election article confirms she is a declared Republican primary candidate, that Bill Lee is the term-limited incumbent, and that the primary is August 6, 2026 with the general November 3, 2026 — neither has occurred as of the review date (July 21, 2026). She therefore has had no authority over Tennessee K-12 curriculum and no genuine opportunity to keep or break this specific promise. (2) She has not abandoned or reversed the position: the commitment remains a live plank on her official 'Marsha for Governor' campaign issues page, which states she 'will always fight to stop woke policies of teaching Anti-American curriculum in Tennessee schools' and 'She'll stand up for education – not indoctrination – always.' (3) Her related federal record is directionally consistent — her June 8, 2021 Senate press release introducing a resolution condemning critical race theory in K-12 schools ('Critical race theory has no place in American schools') — but federal Senate action is not the promised gubernatorial action on Tennessee curriculum and so cannot upgrade this to ATTEMPTED or CHAMPIONED. Nothing in the record shows avoidance (ABSTAINED) or contrary action (MISALIGNED/HOSTILE), and IGNORED would be wrong because the opportunity has not yet existed. Same-standard check: a candidate of the opposite party promising 'as governor I will do X' before winning the office would likewise be scored NO_OPPORTUNITY, so this is not partisan leniency — NO_OPPORTUNITY is the neutral 0 outcome, not a favorable one. Note: the prior rating's rationale referenced a '2025 National Education Association Charter Repeal Act' and 'TEACH Act' which I could not independently verify (web search budget exhausted); those claims are dropped here and are not load-bearing for the outcome.
