Fully KeptFact-checker reviewConfidence: 85%

Both cited PRIMARY sources were fetched and verified. (1) The Senate roll-call page (vote_119_2_00032) documents Vote #32 on Feb 5, 2026, confirming Justin R. Olson to be U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Indiana, 50-47, with Banks (R-IN) voting Yea — the quoted "Banks (R-IN), Yea" is accurate and on-point for a "vote for federal judges" pledge. (2) Banks's Senate press release contains the exact quote "He's been a strong defender of the Constitution and is a firm believer in law and order.," attributed to Banks about that nominee. As a Senator (from Jan 2025) Banks is now able to act on the pledge, and his Yea vote plus his characterization of the nominee as a constitutional defender are consistent with keeping it. FULL is appropriate; CHAMPIONED is correctly NOT claimed because a single supportive floor statement is not authorship or leadership of the confirmation. Confidence is held slightly below the original 0.88 for two reasons the sources expose: the "right to life" half of the promise is not documented in either cited source (only the "Constitution" half is, so that element rests on inference from Banks's broader pro-life record), and the "only for" clause remains untested since only Trump nominees Banks supports have reached the floor.
