Rick Larsen (WA-02) is the SPONSOR of H.R. 6451, the Veterans Access to Transit Act (119th Congress), whose official title reads 'To direct the Secretary of Transportation to establish a pilot program for grants to improve access to public transportation services for veterans, and for other purposes.' Sen. Patty Murray's office confirms Murray and Larsen jointly introduced a bill to improve transportation services for rural veterans (Rural Veterans Transportation Enhancement Act), aimed at getting veterans to VA facilities. Larsen is the lead sponsor/co-lead who actively drove this cause beyond a single supporting vote, which is exactly CHAMPIONED (+0.75).
