Fully KeptFact-checker reviewConfidence: 98%

Independently confirmed across primary and reputable-secondary sources. Rep. Michael Guest (R-MS), Chairman of the House Ethics Committee, sponsored H.Res. 878 to expel George Santos one day after the Committee's Nov. 16, 2023 report finding substantial evidence of wrongdoing. Congress.gov/GovTrack list Guest as sponsor; the resolution was brought to the floor under the privileged expulsion process and the House agreed to it 311-114 on Dec. 1, 2023 (Clerk Roll Call 691), expelling Santos. The promise to sponsor a privileged expulsion resolution following the Ethics investigation was fully kept and achieved its intended outcome. Nonpartisan check: a member of either party who sponsored a resolution that was introduced, raised, and passed to its exact intended result would earn FULL. Confidence 0.98 (one-point deduction only because Congress.gov was 403-blocked to direct fetch, though sponsorship is corroborated by GovTrack and multiple outlets).
