Assessments
evidence-backed verdictsThese are sourced verdicts from fact-checkers or community evidence reviews — not opinions.
Independently re-verified both cited sources. The Colorado General Assembly official page confirms Manny Rutinel is a State Representative for District 32 (Adams County), Democrat, whose 2026 session sponsorships cover law enforcement tracing, massage facility regulation, EITC/tax credits, homelessness prevention, crash reporting, and worker safety — no minimum wage bills. The Colorado Sun confirms he won the June 30, 2026 Democratic primary for Colorado's 8th Congressional District and faces Republican incumbent Gabe Evans in November 2026. As of today (2026-09-02), Rutinel has never held federal office and, as a state legislator, has no vote on federal minimum wage law. NO_OPPORTUNITY is the fair, party-neutral rating — the same standard would apply to a Republican state legislator running for Congress. Not a penalty; simply no genuine opportunity yet.
